What A Blow Job!

Now that I have your attention: I’m pleased to share that ‘The Blow Job’, a 10 second ultra short comedy that I wrote (all 10 seconds!), co-produced and acted in has been selected from over 12000 submissions and will be screened as part of the PROTO & CO Film Festival in Paris on October 13 2017 🇫🇷 Uh La La!

I’m really happy to see this little idea take off in such a way and hold its own against other more traditional 15-20 minute films. The whole thing started as a 15 minute script that a friend wrote, but we wanted to submit it to competition that had a 10 second limit! So, we decided that the actual *joke* of the script was a visual moment that we could tell in, well, 10 seconds. Also, I tell you it helps keep the costs down. We shot it in 4 hours and there’s only so much food a crew can eat in 4 hours = money saved on catering 😂

I have fond memories of the shoot. It was my birthday, I was playing the Fool to David Ryall’s King Lear at the time and we shot it super early in the morning. I headed off to the theatre afterwards for the matinee and evening shows. An eclectic mix, really! Blowing up buildings in the morning and then Shakespeare and bringing down the house in the evening. See what I did there? 👀

If you like ‘The Blow Job’ please share it with friends, family and even your enemies. We think it deserves a larger audience and there’s only so many times we can share it on Facebook before people start unfriending us.
