My background as a professional actor and 13 years experience in the industry give me a solid understanding of a wide range of texts, the dynamics within and how to effectively communicate core values, create emotions and capture an audience.
I'm passionate about voiceovers. The precision and attention to detail in the studio, the emotional journey for the listener and a successful campaign for the client.
Words move us. They carry emotions and have a substantial effect on us. As does a voice. We like listening to a pleasant voice. We trust it.

SYNOPSIS
Did you know that Tasmanian rainwater goes great with a cheese platter?
As a trained water sommelier, and soon to be water whisperer, Hugo Rehberg is passionate about all things transparent, wet and liquid.
He advises individuals and restaurants on the suitable aqua to match their culinary dish.
Hugo and his wondrous water knowledge have, finally, come to the attention of the media and he gives an interview.

Born in Hamburg to an English mother and a German father, Ryan grew up both in Germany and the UK and is a native speaker of both languages.
Training / Theatre
Ryan trained at the Drama Centre London (Tom Hardy, Colin Firth, Emilia Clarke).
Unable to secure government funding for his studies, but with bills to pay, he took matters into his own hands and started a fundraiser. Over 250 letters were sent out to British film and theatre professionals.
Weeks went by, until one day a letter from Sir Ian McKellen, better known as Gandalf, landed in Ryan's letterbox. He had received his request for help and was going to support him. Soon after, other prominent supporters followed; Dame Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons and Alan Rickman.
Ryan's career started off typically British: with a cup of tea in a rehearsal room, working on a Shakespeare production: playing The Fool in KING LEAR. Between Shakespeare, Ibsen, Brecht, and Chekhov, he has also worked on modern political dramas and satires, appearing at the award-winning Arcola Theatre London. Ryan also has experience with immersive theatre, outdoor theatre & physical theatre.
In March 2018 he joined the ensemble of Berlin's hit comedy GUTES WEDDING, SCHLECHTES WEDDING - a live theatre sitcom, involving improvisation. In 2021 he started directing the shows and in 2022 he joined the writers room.
Film / TV
Over his 15 years of screen and stage experience, both in the UK and Germany, Ryan has worked with OSCAR® nominee writer & director Scott Frank on the Golden Globe awarded Netflix series THE QUEEN'S GAMBIT. He was cast by Pablo Larraín ("Jackie") in the biopic SPENCER alongside Kristen Stewart, Sean Harris and Timothy Spall. Ryan is part of the PITCH PERFECT spin-off BUMPER IN BERLIN for peacock TV USA opposite Adam DeVine, Udo Kier. He worked with Robert Schwentke on CONTROL alongside James McAvoy and Julianne Moore.
On TV, Ryan can regularly been seen in guest leads for major German broadcasters ZDF and ARD (NOTRUF HAFENKANTE, GROßSTADTREVIER, BLUTIGE ANFÄNGER).
He is also part of season 2 of MAXTON HALL - the most watched international original series worldwide on amazon prime video ever.
On several occasions he has worked with Cologne's bildundtonfabrik GmbH on shows such as HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE (FAST) for Netflix and their mockumentary HOW TO TATORT alongside EMMY® AWARD winning actress Anna Schudt.
Writer / Director
Ryan also works as a writer / director and is part of the writers room for the popular Berlin stage sitcom show "Gutes Wedding, Schlechtes Wedding" - where he is also a director. Ryan produces award-winning comedy short films such as THE WATER SOMMELIER, which has won 9 awards for BEST COMEDY, BEST ACTOR and BEST DIRECTOR on the international film festival circuit.
