THIS TALENTED YOUNG ACTOR DELIVERS A STAND OUT PERFORMANCE
TIMEOUT MAGAZINE LONDON
PROFESSIONAL, ENTERTAINING & STRAIGHTFORWARD. GREAT RECORDINGS AND A PLEASANT COLLABORATION.
Warm. Young. Upbeat. Credible.
Fitness. Health. Superfood.
My background as a professional actor and 12 years experience in the industry give me a solid understanding of a wide range of texts, the dynamics within and how to effectively communicate core values, create emotions and capture an audience.
I'm passionate about voice overs. The precision and attention to detail in the studio, the emotional journey for the listener and a successful campaign for the client.
Words move us. They carry emotions and have a substantial effect on us. As does a voice. We like listening to a pleasant voice. We trust it.
This combination inspires me. It's storytelling - not around the campfire, but on social media, on the radio & on TV.
I LIKE PLAYING THE ORDINARY GUY IN EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES.
IN THE ACTION GENRE OR IN COMEDIES: CONFRONTED WITH A BOMB OR AN AWKWARD DATE.
A sitcom. Live.
On stage. In Berlin.
Ryan joined the ensemble of Berlin's hit theatre sitcom in 2018. Four actors take on every role. Expect fast comedy, witty improv, terrible wigs and a fun night out in Berlin.
Please note: performances are in German
Ryan hosts a YouTube show
called the #CashlessCrew
Every two weeks a new episode is out on YouTube. Together with established influencers we guide our audience through topics such as new technologies, digital payment, revolutionary innovations and the impact digital advances have on our lives.
Born to an English mother and a German father, Ryan's dreams of becoming an astronaut (or space cowboy - see photo) were short lived. Apparently, nobody needs a cowboy in outer space.
Instead, he moved to London to train as an actor at the Drama Centre, where - out of money, but full of determination - he was kindly sponsored by Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman and others.
Ryan's career started off typically British: with a cup of tea in a rehearsal room, working on Shakespeare.
Ryan's work is underpinned by his love of theatre: between Shakespeare, Ibsen, Brecht, and Chekhov, he has also worked on modern political dramas and satires, appearing at the award-winning Arcola Theatre London. He also has experience with immersive theatre, outdoor theatre & physical theatre.
In March 2018 he joined the Ensemble of GUTES WEDDING, SCHLECHTES WEDDING - Berlin's live theatre sitcom, now in its 15th year.
Film / TV
Ryan has 12 years professional experience in both the UK and in Germany;
ANOTHER MOTHER'S SON alongside John Hannah and Ronan Keating, directed by BAFTA winning director Chris Menaul. TRAUTMANN, a German / UK feature film by Marcus H. Rosenmüller opposite David Kross, ABSCHUSSFAHRT, a feel good German summer comedy with Max von der Groeben.
On TV Ryan has played guest leads on ZDF's BETTY'S DIAGNOSE and he was a lead in a German TV sketch series, co-created by satirist Jan Böhmermann for WDR.
Ryan has co-created award-winning online series and various short films, such as the 10 sec comedy THE BLOW JOB, which won an award at the International Canadian Comedy Festival.
Every now and again he is invited to work as a copywriter for commercial campaigns
- a creative challenge he enjoys.
He currently lives in Berlin with his 5 dogs and 9 kids and is a chronic liar regarding dogs and kids.
